Rules in World cup

  • If the match between two teams is tie in the group matches, then both the teams will share one point.
  • If two teams are having same points in the group level, then the team which had won many matches will be leading.
  • If the teams are having same number of winning matches and same points, then the team which is having better run rate is leading. If the net run rate is also same, then number of balls at which the team loses the wickets is considered.
  • If the matches are still having the same number of balls at the loss of wickets, then team which will win in the face to face match will be leading. And finally, lottery is taken if the decision is done in all the above methods.
  • If the match is tie from the quarter final stage, then super over will decide the result.
  • If the decision is not possible by the super over in the group and semi finals, then the top team in the group stage will be leading.
  • If there is tie or match was not held in the final, then super over is considered and if super over is also not possible, then title is shared between the two teams.
  • On an average, each team should complete 14.28 overs per hour.
