Maddelacheruvu Suri alias Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy, who was a movie buff, invested over Rs. 200 crores in Telugu film industry. The cops have reportedly found his connection with many recent films soon after his cold-blooded murder.
The slain-don used to stay at producer Siganamala Ramesh’s flat in Madhapur during his visits to Hyderabad. The producer has openly admitted that he knew Suri from many years. He has admitted that through one of their common friends they came to know each other. Ramesh also acknowledged that Suri used to stay in his Madhapur flat as he resides in Chennai. However, he denied any business connection with Suri.
Few reports have claimed that dead gangster had provided funds for Siganamala Ramesh’s two big-budget movies Puli and Khaleja. It also added that Suri was also close to another producer C Kalyan, who had acquired Ram Gopal Varma’s Rakta Charitra series distribution rights.
Suri, the role played by Surya in Rakta Charitra, was killed on Monday evening by unidentified assailants. He was attacked near Sanath Nagar, while he was going to Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad.
